Guests consistently praise the warm and attentive staff, whose friendliness elevates every stay. The river-facing rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with deluxe options boasting stunning views of the castle and glimmering city lights by night. While the hotel lacks air conditioning and an elevator, the ambiance and thoughtful amenities, such as universally accessible rooms and kitchens in select apartments, speak to its inclusive and practical design.

The Waterside Restaurant is a highlight, serving hearty breakfasts and memorable dinners featuring local specialties like short rib, prepared with care and served in a convivial setting. Many appreciate the bespoke touches for special occasions, creating an atmosphere that feels personal and celebratory. Adding to the charm is the proximity to local attractions, including Inverness Castle, just a five-minute walk away, and the convenience of being close to the train station for easy exploration.

For those seeking authentic local experiences, the offered 'brewstillery' tour provides an engaging glimpse into Scotland’s rich distilling and brewing traditions. Though parking is mostly street-based and free, the hotel also offers reasonably priced paid parking options.

We've just had a wonderful family birthday bash in the Waterside Restaurant in this fabulous hotel. My elderly parents stayed over in a very comfortable and well equipped universally accessible room. (UAR) A fantastic breakfast was available from the friendliest staff in Inverness. We were treated to a very welcoming bespoke experience to celebrate my mum's 89th birthday on Halloween, complete with ghost and creepy decorations on our table. The staff were amazing. Always attentive service with a smile. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food from a varied menu, particularly the salmon and steak dishes, cooked to perfection!. Thank you to everyone who went the extra mile to ensure that we all had the best time. Thank you for the exceptional little touches in the room and for making it an experience to remember. Highly recommend this hotel for a quality stay!.

Glen Mhor had such a wonderful vibe being right along the river and an easy walk from the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely add the distillery/brewery tour onto your stay! The rooms are spacious and cozy. We also enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the on site restaurant; definitely recommend the short rib. We would definitely stay here again, and we can't wait to try the single malt when it's ready!

We love this hotel. Great breakfast. The mushrooms and hash browns were especially nice. We were in the deluxe river view room for a special occasion. The views on 3 sides were beautiful, especially at night with all the lights at this time of year. Nice view of the castle. The room was tastefully decorated. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had family stay in other rooms and they were just as complimentary. Cot was provided for our 2 year old. Quick walk to the shops and restaurants. It was easy to find a space in the parking round the back.

Great place along River Ness. Decent breakfast included. Overnight parking on street is free, but property also provides paid parking but at very reasonable price. There's also an offer for 'brewstillery' tour at £20 (under 12s not allowed). Stayed in Classic Loft. Room heating was not great but running hot water and decent sized toom and bath. Word of caution: No lift, so be prepared to carry luggage on stairs. We had a heavier one and struggled. But a great location.
